Last weeks ‘Moonlight’ gave viewers another sneak peak into Mick’s (Alex O’Loughlin) backstory without giving too much away. Is Mick a father and grandfather? Mick is forced to deal with some secrets from his troubled past when the grandson of his World War II buddy is kidnapped.

When Mick returned home from World War II he promised his best friend Ray that he would take care of his wife Lilah (Mercedes Connor). Mick did more then just took care of her; they slept together, which leaves Mick to believe that Ralph (Anthony Molinari) is his son.

The beginning was really good; it even made me jump a little bit. It was interesting to see how human villains can be scarier than vampires. The kidnapper put the fear in the little boys eyes, it would have been interesting if he saw Mick’s vampire eyes in the tunnel; that’ll put the fear f God in him.

The friendly advice that Josef (Jason Dohring) gave to Mick about Beth (Sophia Myles) as she was walking in was great. I loved Josef’s face when he saw Beth.

I do not like Ben Talbot (Eric Winter), the new DA. At least the writer’s aren’t going to do some lame typical love triangle between the three of them. It’ll be interesting to see if Beth takes him up on his job offer. If you ask me, Beth and Mick should just work together; it always ends up that way anyways.

This week’s season finale , not only looks really good, but it might also be a real tearjerker.

I’m keeping my fingers crossed that ‘Moonlight’ gets renewed for a second season. CBS would be dumb to just let this great show go.
